Emperor of Rome from 161 to 180 CE. His private journal, Meditations, was never meant for publication but survived to become the most-read Stoic work in modern self-improvement culture.

Heavily cited in stoicism circles, productivity blogs, and self-help. 'Marcus saidโฆ' is a tell that someone has read Ryan Holiday.
