A flat, ominous promise to return โ€” usually with consequences.

Origin

Spoken by Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator in James Cameron's 1984 film, before he drives a car through a police station. Schwarzenegger has reused some version of the line in nearly every film since, making it his unofficial trademark.

Modern usage

A near-universal joke about brief absences. Almost always delivered in an Austrian accent.
