A label for emotional intensity, chaos, or insomnia attributed to a full moon.
Origin
Belief that the moon affects human behavior dates back to antiquity โ the word 'lunatic' comes from luna, the Latin for moon. Modern studies have repeatedly failed to find a robust link between full moons and behavior, but ER nurses, bartenders, and teachers will still tell you otherwise.
Modern usage
Used to label a particularly weird night, a chaotic group chat, or a sudden urge to text an ex. Often paired with 'Mercury in retrograde' for full mystical coverage.
